Buddy Scotto is known as the “mayor of Carroll Gardens” and he has been working to clean up the Gowanus Canal and redevelop Public Place much of his adult life. Now, his dream seems close to coming true. Here he talks about what his vision for the area entails.

this form the “mayer of Carroll Gardens”, not Gowanus.
Where did this guy ever get the idea that Gowanus was a river? Didn’t he growup in this neighborhood?
We need development planning for the Gowanus estuary and urban run-off basin.
There is no basis to believe that high-rise buildings along the weter’s edge would be a sustainable development.
Can someone wake this guy form this false dream so he may see the “truth” he feels so deeply?
